Boediono deliver a speech at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Friday (5/3/2010). Boediono was accompanied by Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister Djoko Suyanto Polhukam, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.

Ladies and gentlemen nation and compatriots.
Now it's time for me to talk about the issue of Bank Century.
First of all, let me say that in April last Presidential election, I was elected as vice president accompanying Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Mr. (SBY). Election results that have been validated by the Constitutional Court and the General Elections Commission (KPU).
Constitutional mandate, the president and vice president-elect of the executive functions of state administration. So did the House of Representatives as a result of legitimate elections of legislative functions, including oversight of executive functions. Judicial function carried out by the Supreme Court and Constitutional Court.
This division of tasks is to ensure that no single institution which the state has unlimited power. Each guard and guarded, so that the wheels run state administration transparent, accountable, and responsible.

I must admit, I never predict beforehand that this position can be a political burden for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and personal burden for my family.

If a majority of representatives in the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) will, and if all the provisions in the Constitution and other legislation are met, any final decision I will obey the Assembly.
